Entity Linking (EL) is a challenging task in natural language processing that seeks to link text representing an entity with its corresponding entry in a knowledge base. Most existing approaches focus on contextual models, but Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT provide an advanced solution. In this work, we define ChatEL, a framework that improves performance across datasets by more than 2%. Thorough error analysis indicates that the actual performance may be higher than reported. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of using Chatbot: Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) versions 3.5 and 4 for analyzing research papers on the topic of "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Breast Cancer Treatment." The study collected research papers from Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Scopus, and used ChatGPT models to identify categories, scope, and relevant information for organizing the papers and extracting key information for survey paper writing. The evaluation shows that GPT-4 achieves 77.3% accuracy in identifying research paper categories and 50% accuracy in identifying paper scopes. Additionally, GPT-4 can provide reasons for its decisions, with 67% of these reasons being agreeable to subject experts.
